Public Appeal to reunite ornate urn with its owner

During a waste haul in London on the 4th November one of our collection teams found an urn full of ashes!

The urn was discovered at the end of the week in combined waste that had been catalogued as worthy of repurposing.

The nature of a multi-pick up means that the waste collectors visited multiple sites, which makes it almost impossible to track who the urn belongs to. We are asking the public for any information on anyone they know in the London area who has lost or misplaced an urn.

If you have any information to share please email: [email protected] with the subject heading ‘Urn full of ashes’.

EnviroWaste owner James Rubin said:

“It’s very sad to think that someone may be missing a loved one’s remains and even if discarding the urn wasn’t a mistake, I know I would sleep better at night knowing we did all we could to reunite the urn with its owner! The urn itself is beautiful and in very good condition so my gut feeling is that it was cherished and probably not meant to be discarded. I hope that our appeal is successful because I’m not sure what we would do with it!”

If you have any more information please help us get the urn back to whoever it belongs to!
